Conference Dates

Please note the dates for this year's conference, February 21-25, as a five-day event. As a result, AAFS 2022 will not have a Saturday session as in previous years.

Covid-19 Update

Effective October 26, King County (which includes Seattle) mandates all indoor events to require masks for all individuals regardless of vaccination status, as well as proof of full vaccination or negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event.

AAFS will be monitoring these requirements and providing guidance and updates as they become available. We are committed to a safe and enjoyable event for all our attendees.

Section Business Meetings

The 2022 AAFS Annual Conference is rapidly approaching and there has been discussion and inquiries regarding the format of the Section Business Meetings. Since virtual business meetings would be additional fees at the section’s expense (Zoom and voting platform) and require AAFS staff, it has been decided that the business meetings will only be available to those participating in person. In addition to the Seattle conference, staff will need to be assisting with the virtual platform – there simply is not enough staff to also conduct eleven virtual section business meetings simultaneously. Quorums will be based on in-person registrants – 25% of registered voting members.
